XAMIYA — “CRY”

CRY opens the BLUESTAR EP with a striking sense of contrast, immediately showcasing the duo’s ability to blend emotion with intensity. XAMIYA pulls from their hip-hop and hyperpop roots, fusing genres in a way that feels both nostalgic and forward-thinking.

The track begins in a soft, almost weightless space. Airy ambient vocals from KAMIYA drift through the mix, setting a delicate and introspective tone. There’s a calm before the storm here—subtle, inviting, and emotionally charged without saying too much.

Then everything shifts. XANSEI’s production erupts into a high-energy drum & bass rhythm, driving the track forward with urgency. Dramatic guitar layers cut through the mix, adding a raw, indie rock edge that amplifies the emotional weight of the song.

The fusion is seamless—electronic precision meets live-feeling intensity, creating a sound that feels uniquely their own. The transitions hit hard but never feel out of place, keeping the listener engaged as the track evolves.

CRY sets the tone for the EP with confidence. It’s nostalgic, emotional, and explosive in all the right moments—a powerful introduction that captures both the vulnerability and energy at the core of XAMIYA’s sound.
