beatsbyvirgo - Groovy
beatsbyvirgo — “Groovy”
The first time I heard Groovy by beatsbyvirgo, I immediately started thinking about those late-night parties and raves I used to hit in Detroit's Russell Industrial District. There's something about this track that captures that '90s underground dance music feel, with a little of that old-school Detroit ghettotech influence thrown into the mix.
And as the title suggests, this one is groovy. It's laid-back, jazzy, and has a really dope bounce to it. I love the sample selection and the vocal refrain adding extra depth to the production. There's a nice combination of rhythm and melody that keeps the track moving without feeling too busy.
One thing I really appreciate about beatsbyvirgo is her ability to create a distinct mood through production. Groovy has a personality of its own, with the samples, vocal elements, and rhythm all working together to set the scene. It's the kind of track I could easily hear playing during one of those late-night dance sessions where nobody's paying attention to the clock.
If you're into jazzy grooves, infectious rhythms, and a little underground flavor, give Groovy a spin. This one's definitely going into my late-night rotation.
