ONLINEUNKNWN — “NOT UR EYES”
No stranger to the BFG fam, ONLINEUNKNWN—brother of our day one Chinsaku—comes in hot with a sick flip of the SWV classic “Use Your Heart”. “NOT UR EYES” is a standout cut from his latest project, Cavity, showing how ONLINEUNKNWN is sonically carving out a lane entirely his own. The track features heavy polyrhythms that pull direct influence from Chicago Juke and Detroit ghettotech styles, but the real magic lies in his intricate approach to chopping and layering samples. Interweaving lush pianos, striking strings, and pitched vocal chops, he creates a complex juxtaposition of sound that effortlessly locks together when it all comes through the speakers. This is definitely a heavy vibe for those late-night after-hours sets and underground floor-shakers.
