We're Rooting For You: FInd Your Why

As we navigate the journey toward our dreams, we will inevitably face setbacks. Challenges that seem insurmountable. Moments that test the very fabric of our will to keep going.

During those times, it’s easy to feel unmotivated. To question the path you’re on. To wonder if the dream is even worth pursuing anymore.

When those moments arise—and they always do—I’ve found it’s incredibly important to remember your why.

Your why is the fuel behind everything you’re working toward.

Is it your family?

Is it proving something to those who doubted you?

Is it creating a better life for yourself?

Or is it simply the pure love of the game?

Only you can answer that.

I often have conversations with fellow creatives and friends who find themselves discouraged or disconnected from their purpose. When that happens, I always encourage them to dig deep and reconnect with their why.

Because your why is what carries you through the difficult seasons.

It’s what gets you through the sleepless nights spent working on projects.

It’s what keeps you committed to your craft when distractions are pulling you in every direction.

It’s what helps you stay focused when progress feels slow and the destination feels far away.

One of my favorite books is Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill. In it, Hill discusses the concept of the "Guardian of the Threshold." To paraphrase, it is a symbolic force that appears when you're pursuing something meaningful—a test designed to determine whether you're truly committed to what you're asking of life.

Whether you view it as a metaphor, a spiritual concept, or simply life's way of testing your resolve, the lesson remains the same: every worthwhile dream will be challenged.

And when those challenges arrive, your why becomes your anchor.

It becomes the reminder that keeps you moving forward when everything else is telling you to quit.

If you haven't clearly defined your why yet, I encourage you to spend some time doing so.

Write it down.

Reflect on it.

Keep it close.

Let it become the fuel that carries you through the longest stretches of your journey.

Because dreams are rarely achieved through motivation alone. They're achieved through purpose.

And purpose begins with knowing why you started.

Until next time, keep building, keep creating, and keep believing.

We're rooting for you.
